Official Launch of Prodigium Pictures
Prodigium Pictures proudly announced their official launch on November 11, 2011 at 11:11PM. The Los Angeles-based young commercial and film production company was established as an Austrian-Japanese venture in late 2011, after three entrepreneurs - Tobias Deml and Hiroki Kamada being young filmmakers, Max Deml being an experienced business specialist - put their plans to join efforts into action.

Prōdĭgĭum [prɒdɪdɪəm], latin for "Beast", "Monster", or "Wonder" gets its name from the first project Deml and Kamada ever worked on together, filming an 18 year old Pontiac Firebird - a gas-guzzling beast - roar through the desert at high speeds.

Finding the Essence in Story and Client Identity
Prodigium Pictures differs from other production companies through a basic understanding and mission of their work: Instead of interpreting artistic and marketing intentions as opposite forces, Prodigium takes the basic idea of narrative filmmaking - letting the story lead the creative development of the film - and makes it the premise for its commercial projects: to let the client's identity, the essence of their product, be the guideline for any creative decisions in the process of each project, just like a film director needs to base decisions on the film's story. This different approach transforms the commercial production process - especially in the planning phase and preproduction - in a more effective, collaborative process.
Prodigium Pictures concentrates their services on producing commercial video & film content. These services include:

This rethinking of the commercial creative process also majorly influenced the logo design of Prodigium Pictures, which reinforces Prodigium's philosophy visually through an inwards spiral.
A feature film in the works: Rocco Bukatzoo
On the set of "Rocco Bukatzoo" - last preparations for a car stunt scene in Downtown Los Angeles.
Prodigium Pictures is currently producing and shooting Mikel Caprice's feature film "Rocco Bukatzoo", an action comedy shot on a tight budget with great aspirations: 50% of the film's profits will be donated to charity, so that the success of the film can do its part in helping those in need. This message attracted some known actors who expressed interest in starring in the feature. The film is already in production; a 5-minute excerpt is planned to be presented to the kickstarter crowdfunding community. There has been very few action films that were crowdfunded and professionally made, so "Rocco Bukatzoo" will step on rather unknown terrain for its funding.
The film will be delivered with an extensive making-of and behind-the-scenes, to pass knowledge and experience on to the next generation of upcoming low-budget filmmakers; samples can be found on the film's facebook page.
